Data Center Efficiency directives and the speed of implementation and response have highlighted re was a large gap of skills and knowledge required on how to actually implement these programs. This training program is design to guide organizations through steps to implement the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) Directive. It expands beyond the specifics of the optimization directive and provides practical insight to other related DCIM processes to include ; general Project Management, Security, Logistics, Installation Standards, Ancillary Materials and Operations & Maintenance. The course is modular by design, with each section being a stand-alone curriculum content that can be focused to each audience’s needs. But the primary focus of the course is on meeting the DCOI Directives.

About the Course Author
Dennis O’Brien has been actively involved in the IT/Data Center business for 35 years. He got his start by serving in the United States Air Force as a Telecommunications Controller, (Tech Controller) for short and retired as at the rank of MSgt after server 20 years of service. After active duty service he perused a career as a government contractor supporting a variety of Intel and other Government agencies supporting designing and implementing networks, systems and data center infrastructure systems.
Dennis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Internetworking Technologies from Stayer University, and actively maintains certifications in the areas of LAN/WAN Networking, SAN, Storage, Cloud, Vitalization, Hyper-Converged Solutions, Data Center Design/Build. Being an active member of BICSI holding the prestigious Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification and was a contributing author to the BICSI Electronic Security and Safety (ESS) Standards Manual.
